how to recover your xp master boot record

Try from a 'DOS' disk:
fdisk /mbr
"fixmbr" from cd

this is usually needed when u need to fix ur mbr in circumstances such as uninstalling of linux from another partition.. and u loose ur mbr that xp was installed in .. u can try the above to fix this problem
