| Windows It's the most common one, but is it the best? From Windows 1.0 to 7, talk about what's running on 9 out of 10 PCs. |

| Sorry, I am a little confused here... What do you mean by you can get into Windows 7? I assumed it means that you can boot up, and log in. But then you say that you will check to see if it starts up without the disk? Please could you explain a little more clearly how you have installed it, and what your problem is. Jam

| I think you have a notion that you can find an application file named Windows 7 somewhere in your system. But that si not going to happen. If you have correctly installed the software, then it will not appear anywhere. All that you can see is a folder names WINDOWS in the C drive.

| I was running Win7 RC and have since bought and installed Win7 Home Premium. When installing Home Premium the program informed me that any version of Window on the hard drive would be stored in a folder called Windowsold. That way if I forgot to save something before the install I would be able to get it afterwards.

| Windows is stored on the C: drive by default. I advice you to format the hard drive and then re-install Windows 7 back on to it. That should cure the problem.

| Hi All, I came across something that may be of interest to folks here: On Wednesday, December 12 at 2 pm ET/11 am PT there will be a FREE (and open to the public) virtual roundtable to discuss Windows 7 – issues with migration, key concerns for consumers and small business owners, how to know if you’re ready to upgrade… The author of Windows 7 for Dummies is a panelist, as well as small business experts Gene Marks, Anita Campbell and Ramon Ray. There’s also a Twitter component by using the hashtag #Win7assist. Let me know if you'd like the link to register – might be interesting to see what they have to say... |
