Intentional BSOD If you were doing something that you weren't allowed to do on the PC, here's a way to cover it.
First, select Run from the start menu. type in "regedit" without the quotes, obviously. it'll start up registry editor.
Now, navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters
Now, create a new DWORD value. Name it:
CrashOnCtrlScroll
Now, set its value to 1. Exit regedit, then reboot your PC. If you're in the office, and you don't want to work, just hold right ctrl and hit Scroll Lock twice, and BAM! A Blue Screen of Death.
Also, if you're doing something that you don't want other people to see, it's way more effective than the BSOD screensaver. It's obvious that it's a fake, because:
1. It loops
2. If you move the mouse, you're busted.
This is a real BSOD, but you can tell that there's no error because of the parameters all being 0x00000000
