Default Can't boot from CD?

A while back I posted about tri-booting, but never gave it a shot until today. I have a Western Digital 250g with 3 partitions with XP on one, a blank one, and Vista on the other. I downloaded a program called easyBC 1.7.1 when I dual booted and now it won't let me boot from my CD drive. I put in the CD, restart and it brings me up to the post screen, I hit delete and choose to boot form CD and it brings me to a screen that says "Boot from CD:" and then it just goes straight to my partition choices. I've heard people say to download OCL2000 to fix this, so I gave it a shot and it just said Set your bios to boot from CD first, then restart. I did this and still no dice. What can I do to install the Ubuntu on the second partition?

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place...

Just follow the Ubuntu installer and set up the partitioning there. Let Ubuntu install a boot loader to the root of the drive - the boot loader will be Grub, which lets you choose between Ubuntu/Vista/XP/ any other OS.

So...rather embarrassing but I figured it out. I was burning a data disc instead of a ISO disk so it wasn't booting...But now I can't find the partition to install on. I have a shortcut for the partition on my desktop and I right click and say Format. What do I format it too? Fat32 or NTFS? Can I do a quick format?

Windows. I have yet to install Ubuntu for fear of overwriting a different partition.

Just back up everything you need before you start the install process and use the Ubuntu intaller's partitioner.

Welcome to the world of Linux!! I use it quite often but I really don't know what I'm doing, but enough to get by.
