Talking Vista & XP but on srparate drives

I will be building a new computer in a few weeks. I would like to use the Vista 64 bit O/S but with all the problems Vista seams to have I would like to keep my XP just in case Vista does not like my printer or DVD writer or some unseen problem. So can I have one hard drive with Vista and a separate drive with XP, and at boot up choose which O/S (hard drive) I wish to use.

As it is a new build you should not have any problems with drivers. It's amazing what comes with Vista as far as drivers go. You can check for your printer drivers at the manufactures web site before you even start your build.

Yes, before you do this be sure to check out whether the drivers are available for XP. I bought a new laptop last year with Vista on it, and I had an absoloute nightmare locating the XP drivers for it. It actually took me 6 months to be able to get all the drivers and have it running well.
