Default More Windows 7 (Microsoft confirm 2010 for Release)

"It's all a silly misunderstanding, we tell you. Microsoft has been holding fast to its "three years" development time frame for Windows 7 since forever, the problem is that it's never been clear when that three year period started. Well wonder no longer, Microsoft has finally officially confirmed that the three years started at Windows Vista's general availability release, which was January 30th, 2007. Obviously that doesn't mean will have Windows 7 on midnight of January 30th, 2010, but it does mean we can look forward to sometime within that year for a release. Microsoft plans to give an exact release date only once Windows 7 meets its quality bar for release."

I was surfing at internet, went to a site which one has articles about computer news. There I read a article what contained some information about Microsoft's new plans, and there wrote that with releasing of Windows 7 Vienna, with that or after a couple of months will release Windows 8.

I think it's likely that this information is false.

This is true! I read this information from Softpedia , if you do not believe enter and at the News section look for Microsoft category and search.

Arrow is correct. Here is the link: Windows 7 Between Vista SP1, XP SP3 and Windows 8 - But still scoped for 2010 - Softpedia There is more about it here too: Microsoft Cooking Major, Innovative Features for Windows 7 and Windows 8 - In terms of storage - Softpedia

So it looks like its going to be a Windows ME - Windows 2000 Situation. Instead of rushing out Windows 7 - and later releasing Windows 8 they should just concentrate on Sorting Vista Out and then Spend time actually getting Windows 7 to work well. I guarantee if the rush to ship copies of Windows 7 it will be a mess. Just like windows ME was. I would rather wait longer and have a decent OS than have a rushed botched OS. Makes me thing going full time with linux may be a good idea.

Thanks for revealing the truth of this fact.
And Mr Pickles it is true that what this is as same as the situation of Windows Me and Windows 2000 editions.

I used a Linux operating system named Pardus 2007, but changed it because I had no time to discover and experience it.

How is the Debian?

Debian is a good distro, but its quite a technical one. I wouldn't advice using it if your new to linux. I think Ubuntu is a great place to start, and what with the new Ubuntu 8 being released in 8 days time, its a good time to consider giving it a go.
