| Maybe this is old news to everyone, but I've recently learned how to do this. I was able to upgrade my Windows XP 1.0 to service pack 2 and insert the RAID/SATA drivers for the motherboard I'm getting. While I don't have the new computer to load it onto yet, I can boot from the CD without any errors. To upgrade to Windows XP: SP2, I followed the following link: Beginners Guide: Slipstreaming a WindowsXP Install CD with Service Pack 2 - PCSTATS.com To insert the drivers, I followed this link: How To: Slipstream your XP installation - admin - Maximum PC The last step with the WINNT.SIF doesn't quite work as written. I got it to work as the following: [Data] AutoPartition=1 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" [Unattended] UnattendMode=ProvideDefault OemPreinstall=Yes OemSkipEula=Yes NoWaitAfterTextMode=1 NoWaitAfterGUIMode=1 WaitForReboot="No" TargetPath=WINDOWS DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore OemPnPDriversPath= DRIVERS\RAID [GuiUnattended] OEMSkipWelcome = 1 [UserData] ProductKey= FullName="" OrgName="" |
