| Hi Dr C. No, when i go into the control panel and open up the sound properties there is noting there at all. |

| i downloaded all the drivers for the motherboard which apparently contains the sound drivers too. |

| They are working at the moment, thats because im currently using vista. Its when I use xp that the problems start. I think maybe im just gonna change to linux, i do like vista, but not that much. So i think the alternative is linux. Any advice on which distro to use as a newbie to linux, im not too keen on ubuntu. |

| Well I would need to see the device manager in XP to be further help. As far as linux is concerned I like Klikit Linux
