| It has gotten better. Remember '95? '98? ........ ME?? I remember that 95 had somewhere around 45000 lines of code (IIRC). that expanded exponentially with each successive version. More opportunities for bugs.... more hardware to make work... There are many factors. But still, my new build isn't running vista either. |

| Yeah, Vista has always sucked for me too... nothing worked for me.. so I've totally switched to Ubuntu...

| My new PC is running Vista. I am sticking with it for a while. But even on a new PC with 3 gigs of RAM and a C2D [experience score around 4.8], applications crash regularly - even windows components and dialouges. I just suggest you either run XP or a form of Linux.

| I am currently using Klikit Linux. I am not saying that Ubuntu isnt easy to use I dont believe its the easiest also it isnt as stable as I would like it to be too many bugs for my taste. As far as Oensuse I would never use a rpm distro or a commercial distro again because I see no advantage in it.

| hmmmm.... seems like my thread has been hijacked lol! In response to my origional post and the replies to it, the machine i was refering to at the time has sice been renegated to the shed to gather dust. I have gone back to my laptop which runs windows vista (impossible almost to get xp to work on it) and vista seems at the moment to be performing quite well, especially since ive used windows readyboost! but im still gonna run a virtual linux OS but its just choosing which one. Im not too sure i like ubuntu. But i do quite like the look of PCLINUX |
