| Windows It's the most common one, but is it the best? From Windows 1.0 to Vista, as well as the up and coming Windows Vienna, talk about what 9 out of 10 computers has. |

| You can dual boot any OS so long as they're placed on seperate partitions. By the way, for all the Vista die-hards, the product is supposed to be discontinued in 2009, due to the next Windows release. This is not a joke. Vista is actually a "fill-in" sort of like Windows ME. Anyhow, yes, you can dual boot any OS, of any flavour. Just be sure to install on a clean partition. |

| do you have a source of that info? |

| Would you be able to save that screenshot as a jpg? I don't have any software that'll read Photoshop files And yes, Vista should recognize your XP install. If not, you just need to pop your XP disk in during installation, as with all previous versions.

| What they mean is that you cannot upgrade your current version of XP to Vista and keep all of the files intact - you can only do a fresh install.

| OK, I'm getting REALLY confused!!! I've seen places that say I can't use the upgrade copy of vista to do a dual boot on my secondary drive. Is this true? On the web I've been getting conflicting answers. Can't vista just see that I have xp on my primary drive and install on my secondary, or is vista BLIND? I've also seen a work-around that call for installing an upgrade on a blank drive and doing the 30-day trial. And then installing vista inside of that. Is this just for a brand new drive in a new computer without xp, or would I have to do this on my secondary drive to use an upgrade copy when I have xp on my primary drive. TIA for any information you give me. The closer I come to getting the money for vista, the more stressed out I become over these questions. I would like some one to explain the way to dual boot with xp on my primary and a vista UPGRADE on my secondary. If this is not possible please tell me. |
