Default HOW TO MAKE YOUR DESKTOP ICONS TRANSPARENT....
1. Go to your "Control Panel>System>Advanced>Performance Area>Settings> Visual Effects tab>Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop.

2. Click apply>ok>.


There you Go!!!!
