 The system restore said that it could not restore my computer.

| Two. The first one just didn't do anything, not far enough back the second said that it couldn't.

| They would not have to wipe the computer out and start all over. All they have to do is reinstall the OS over the one the is on there now. That will fix the problem.

| If you do a repair option, you shouldn't lose anything important apart from your settings - but computers being computers, it would be best to back anything important up first.

| Well in that case... contact the seller. Also check with Micro$oft that your license is genuine - if you have been sold a pirate copy, replace it they should.

| Genuine Microsoft Software. If it shows up as a pirate copy, then Microsoft *should* provide you with a genuine copy for free.
