| The inet2004 is the result of a Trojan Virus infection. Its name is Troj/Krepper-AS that reduces system security and installs itself in the Registry. If you've recently been infected, and have removed the virus (or at least think you have removed it) this is an error at Startup because your startup menu is searching for the file and can't locate it. In part that is a good thing .. not being able to locate the folder file to load the Trojan Virus. Bad, being that you now need to run a Registry editor to remove the Registry entry. Always use caution when using any Registry Editor. I personally cannot and will not recommend any Registry Editor software. However, if you use the above Search finction with the term "Registry Edit" you will find several posts here at CompuForums from Member who do have recommendations. Here is a link for more information. www. sophos.com/security/analyses/trojkrepperas.html (a space has been added to the above URL immediately after the www. to prevent hyperlinks) Last edited by Tom; 05-06-2007 at 11:11 AM. |
