Question how do i change fdisk out of standard mode

ok. i finally got to the create a new partition choices but when i try to create a new one it says not enough space so i tryed to delete the old one but it says cannot be done in standard mode. how do i change it out of standard mode

Does it need to be in SafeMode? (As in restart Windows into Safe Mode)

i have tryed that but i cant get back to the dr-dos thing. when i start windows like that, it takes me back to the blue screen of death.

Have you tryed a boot disk to get to the dos prompt? And go from there.

If you made a recovery disc, or floppy, it probably contains the information needed to start in Dos Prompt, or safe mode.
If not, try pressing f8 at startup.

Talking fdisk

Using DOS, the /x switch changes to extended mode. It allows you to add and remove non-DOS partitions. This is for advanced users only.

Try it .. you'll like it
