| I have the cd's to windows 2000 and i am using 2000 as an os right now. My question is when windows vista comes out can i just buy the vista upgrade kit and use the 2000 as proof? Thanks |

| You can only upgrade to Vista from XP, and only certain versions of XP can be upgraded to certain versions of Vista. With any other Windows OS version, upgrade won't work--it must be a clean install of Vista. Regardless, anytime you decide to buy a new operating system from MS, it doesn't matter if you have a previously purchased version of an older OS--if that's what you were asking.
