| Go into Control Panel and then select Mouse. Click on the Hardware tab, and make sure the name of your mouse is there [usually it is a generic one like HID-Complaint Mouse]. Select the Properties button, select the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby". Click OK and close down any boxes. You may need to reboot for the settings to come into effect.

| For most hardware you can also get this option up from Device Properties, but it's quicker to go through the Mouse options. Hope that helps
