embed swf into html or convert swf to flv for flv web player?

hi, guys.

i'm building my website, i've tried to embed a swf into html for displaying, but when i preview it, it failed to load the swf and unclickable, i don't know why. now i want to insert a flv web player instead, but it seems that i need to convert swf to flv? which solution should i choose? how i do that? any suggestion?
