Default Desperately need help with my website

For as long as I can remember, I've had speed issues with my wordpress website. Sometimes it's quite fast, other times it's really slow. I've tried disabling plugins and using the original theme with no luck.

If it's not a wordpress issue, I'm sure it could be with my server. I use dot5hosting... one of THE WORST companies I have delt with. They're so hard to get a hold of, and when I do, they're useless. I have also been out of luck with getting some help on the wordpress forums as well.

Basically I am here to see if I can personally get some assistance. Maybe someone knows a little something and can help me to change some settings with in my dot5 control panel. Whether it being some scripts or what not.

It's been quite frustrating, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for everyone's time and I can't wait to hear from you!

Andrew.

...Have you considered changing who you host your site with?

I have, but if I'm able to sort this out, then I will give it a shot first. Otherwise, I'll deal with it and change when I have to renew.

My best suggestion to increase speed is to ditch your current host. Your webhost seems like the most likely source of slowing down your site, as WordPress is an excellent script. How long is it till your renewal date?

How long, a whole new year because I did just that, left dot5hosting.... TERRIBLE company.

Things are now much faster and service is way better.
