Hello all, and big hi to Ash...the sites looking busy!!. Anyway, after last times great help I received, I require help with my website. I designed my own website via Build a web site for free with CabanovaXL - The best online flash web tool available! , which is a free flash web builder site, after it was complete I then bought a .co.uk site to put it on. The .co.uk server transferred all the pages across for me, but no longer provide that privalege!!, so are unsure what to do. I make changes to my site on the free builder site, then I download a zip file that contains all the pages, to which I have on my pc...but on my .co.uk sites settings...there are so many settings on there, its like a mine field!!. I have tried a FTP transfer programme called Flash FXP...but it didnt seem to like transferring my files. I would be grateful if any help was given, as all this seems a bit confusing to me!!

Hmm - I'm guessing that you would like to edit your site using the flash builder, and then transfer it to your .co.uk host, right?
Do you have web hosting at all for your .co.uk?

It would be very easy to set up your .co.uk domain to simply show the contents of your site that is on the flash building service and you shouldn't need any web hosting to do it, either.



If you could provide me with the web address company name of your domain company, and if the .co.uk is hosted, the name of your web host, I can research the best solution for you.

Hi Ash, nice to hear from you again..Yes you are correct, I edit via the flash builder site, then transfer it all to the .co.uk site. Here is the details that you asked for..

I am unsure by what you mean by the domain company, and web hosting company. The company I went through was Digital9, and these are the sites that I have a note of...

What do you mean when you say "write a simple page"?. As I mentioned before I need to transfer my Flash builder pages to my proper .co.uk website. I know what you mean about the " Powered by Cabanova " title..its a pain!!

OK, I'm sure that you've posted this before - but what is the URL of your page on the Flash building site [Cabanova]? I can write a simple page that will simply load the contents of your site on the flash builder, and if I get really adventurous I can even set it up to hide the "Powered by Cabanova XL" bar at the top.

Attached to this post is a file called index.zip.

Here's what you need to do.
Log onto the server that hosts your .co.uk, and remove all the files or move them to another folder on the server.
Next, unzip the attached file and upload index.html.
That's it! All you need to do is maintain your site using Cabanova and this will show on the .co.uk. I'll see if I can find a way to hide the ad at the top too.

Unfortunately you'll need to keep your account at Cabanova. Due to the way these flash builders work it's quite difficult to transfer them and let you maintain the site. The only real way around this would be rebuilding the site on your .co.uk server - ask your host if they have their own site builder - many do.

I couldn't as the system required a username. My instructions above will do the same thing though - particularly if you are using FTP to transfer the files.

As I say the only problem is that when I log into the server, there are so many settings..that I dont know where to go to delete files etc. I have sent my server several e-mails asking but never get replies!!

Basically, I created a one-frame frameset. This displays the main index file of your flash site, from the Cabanova servers. However, it appears to be served from your .co.uk domain.
