Hi Bob. <--- Arnold RULES, by the way!!!

About the HTML, is your forum a "free" forum, or is it one that you can control all the files? If you don't have control or access to the website files, the HTML you have is useless.

Most forum site templates (both free and paid) are PHP-based files. If you don't have access to the websites files & folders, you will need to contact your host and consult with them about adding ads into your forum. HTML, PHP, and Java script are three different scripting languages, and not all language scripts are compatible with each other. I wouldn't recommit trying to incorporate HTML into a PHP file-based forum.

In addition, you may want to study up on PHP, MySQL, Java script, and HTML compatibility.

If you are running on a free forum host, then I very much doubt they will let you run ads on it [just your own].

If you want to do this, you'll need some "proper" hosting [i.e basic FTP, PHP and MySQL access]. There are some hosts that even offer this for free [but they are hard to find and their stability is questionable].
