| Hi Jay, Welcome to CompuForums. I hope that you can post often in the future and it would be nice if you could put your town on the member map. If your friends are having no trouble with it then the fault lies either with your computer or your ISP. I think that it's likely that it is your ISP - what ISP are you using? Also, do you have any routers or any other networking devices that you connect to other than your modem?

| What I meant was your ISP as in internet service provider, e.g AOL, Comcast. Since you have routers you might want to try unplugging them all for a few minutes - some routers have a DNS cache. DNS is the system that translates www.compuforums.org into our server's IP address, 209.8.31.24. If you visited your domain soon after creating it your ISP's DNS servers may not have had the translation information and sent a 404 back. And if one of your network devices or your ISP cached this information it will be a few days before it's fully working, unless you try unplugging all of your network devices from the power for a few minutes to clear them.

| Sometimes your ISP block certain ports so you cant run your own servers. But most donot. Have you got your dns configuration there and are you sure you have set up the A Names correctly?
