Hey guys!! I dont know where this virus came from in my pc and now it has broken up my pc like anything..It always hangs up, some or the other pop up windows are coming up..I have no choice left but to get it formatted. Now when I'll install it afresh I need a good antivirus software that keeps those viruses away.. Which antivirus you all think i should go for? I have thought of buying this Norton Antivirus 2008 (3 user pack). I am getting it for £30 . Is it worth buying?? Any suggestions would really be appreciated..Thanks in advance..

No, not at all. Norton is a bloated piece of software and the free alternatives do just as good, if not better, than Norton. Consider Avast Antivirus, or AVG if you have a really old computer and a seperate trojan scanner.

Hi Peter, what i would reccomend you is to use AVG or AVAST anti-virus softwares, they have versions available and they are FREE!! So, worth having them most for removing your virus from your pc and detect new viruses that might show up later on!! Since this is my first post here i can't give you links to search for, but if you search on Google you can find lists of softwares which can be of great help to you.

I find Avast works really well as well as AVG, and they are both free so it's pretty much a big win.

dont use mcaffee or norton no matter what PC you have...try AVG ..theres also anotehr program but i forget the name
