Dude,

Go for the free download of AVG from the grisoft website. I was using Nortons however it slowed the system down no end and have heard the same from a stack of friends.

I would recommend AVG, its good at finding trojans, but if you have worms, then use spybot search and destroy that gets rid of spyware and malware, I also recommend lavasoft ad-aware se personal edition thats good. If you want a general clean up of your computer then put on cccleaner. It cleans the guts out of the registry. Hope that helps,

lololololol. This is true, any edition of AVG should fall off the face of the earth.

ESET Nod32 ftw as said only a thousand times. And avast and comodo. Best combonation i've experianced is comodo firewall and eset nod32 AV edition.

AVG has done really well for me and saved a few computers I owned, but I did occasionally have trojan issues that it did not remove in which I had to download other programs for their removal. Hope this helps you decide.

it depends on what you want at a free price, I think AVG is good considering you don't have to pay, (like they say in life - you only get what you pay for) so its not going to be 100% no anti-virus claims to be 100%

When I used to use Windows, I always used free AVG, and I never once had a problem with it. I never caught a virus, or any type or trojan
