How many programs do we really need??
My friend is running all of the following programs and I was just wondering if they are all really needed. Are some of the software purposes being repeated?
Currently has: ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0.650.0 COMODO Firewall Pro Syybot-sd RegCure EasyCleaner AVG Anti-spyware Tracks Earasor Pro Are they all needed???? What dose what?

All you really need are...
Avast Antivirus Spybot S+D CCleaner Comodo Firewall. Or, just use Linux.

I would say only use ONE program for antivirus and then one for spyware... if you use too many they will confilict and keep one or the other from actually detecting the parasites!!! That is a fact ... google search it. I would say use only one for all of your security.

Yep. 1 Anti Virus and 1 Anti-Spyware. Any more and things get very complicated and do not function well.

I know. My old laptop is so heavily armed, about 10gigs probably goes to protection. I've had two firewalls fighting each other before.

i would say one or two at the most... maybe one good spyware program and then one good anti-virus... many times more than one conflict with each other like i said in a previous post. i would not run all of those programs!
