Have you tried removing the file with Avast rather than putting it in the chest??

Did you ensure you were running the latest version of Avast?
Make sure you are not running more than one antivirus program at a time on the system.

Well regardless of what AV you have or firewall this will NOT help you at all. Having a virus on THIS file will only screw up your computer if it is deleted or if it is removed from the placeit is in. System32 files are extremely sensitive to any changes and will give you a hard time if it is played around with. This is what you should do or what your best bet would be to having your computer back to its normal status or a better one. Backup any important applications, programs, and files on your computer that are extremely vital to you and can not be lost. Then once this has been completed, use the Boot CD of whatever Operating System you are using and install a FRESH CLEAN copy of the Operating System back onto your computer. Reload all the backed up files onto your PC and walla your PC is fixed and better than ever
