Default Comodo Firewall

While running Comodo I noticed that Skype, of which I have an account, was pulling 60% from my computer. Even though I was not logged on or talking to anyone. Can anyone tell me why this is and what it is doing?
Another question I have, possibly for Ash. Have you anything to do with Avast or Comodo. The reason I ask this is that "ashWebSv.exe" is pulling 6% and the name keeps coming up on Comodo. Just seems odd, especially as they were both recommended on this site.

Skype is a peer to peer app - it will still use bandwidth even while it's minimised, and alougth the amount used is quite small, if it is the only app using any bandwidth it will show a high percentage.

ashWebSv.exe is Avast's web monitoring program - if you are downloading a file that contains a virus, this should hopefully detect it before it is written to your hard drive.

Thank you for that Ash. But you seem to have sidestepped the original question. Is "ashWebSv.exe" anything to do with you. Just curious thats all.

No, not at all. It's just a file that's part of Avast.
