Considering most coders inject a small amount of code to infect all past system restores. As well as the new modifications to the latest OS - Vista. its easier! No images to add/edit - straight cache files to hex.

Best thing to do is scan from web scanner or remote box and then clean manually from there.

AV's are useless imo.
you have no idea what you are talking about and should not even be trying to give advice in this forum

I know I'm new here, and please don't hurt me.

Ultraman, performing a system restore for a virus related issue is really a bad thing to do. I would agree it's really bad advice.

If you can still install applications, unlikely, I'd try Trojankiller. It's a free application to detect and kill trojan viruses. If that doesn't get em all, go for Avast!, Smitfraudfix. Spybot S&D 1.5.2. All free software.

If you can't install apps, Nuke that puppy.

NOW how can you say it was bad advice, How do you know your way will work? IMO I did not give bad advice. I said

Because of the fact that most malware embeds itself into the system restore repository. The first thing that needs to be done in any malware infestation is to disable system restore, thereby removing all current restoration data. Do the research Ultraman. It's a fact. Please Moderate, don't instigate.

So I guess you're saying that even if the moderator or administrator gives disastrous advice, noone can criticize or question them? Personal pride overrides correctness? I see. Perhaps I'll stick to the Professional forums.

No I am not saying that, And I did not give disastrous advice. ONCE AGAIN I said try system restore. Now TRY does not mean it will work. FYI this is a Professional forum has and always will be. Not everyone is right all the time. No you don't need to criticize or question them.

Considering you are so new to this forum im suprised you are giving so much attitude especially to a moderator. To be honest and im sure i speak for more than just myself in saying "if you want to go to a **proffesional** forum then be our guest. I certainly wont be posting or contributing to any of your posts. You have a got a terrible attitude no one else behaves like this on here so why should you. And for the record ULTRAMAN did not give bad advice no matter what you say. Its not clear that it was a malware problem and could have been any number of reasons for the users problems. A system restore was quite an acceptable suggestion. I hope others follow me and have very little to do with you on this forum.

Hello Guys

Everything is going to be alright. He needs to learn not to be abusive to MODS or anyone else. Maybe he will or not we will have to see.

Thanks for the support.
