Computer Freaking Out

Ok, I'm running xp home with sp2. I have comodo firewall, avast! home anti-virus, windows defender, and avg anti-spyware. All shields are up. I'm going to run a scan using everything I have over night, and I will give the results this morning. Every time I open an application, my mouse moves erratically, and right-clicks even though I'm not moving my mouse. Any help would be much appreciated because this is very annoying. TIA

Download and Run HijackThis
Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.

Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
Click on Install.
It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.

Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.

Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.

Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

this application will allow me to see what is running in your computer . hopefully if the issue is running at the time of the scan , he will show up . if not .. we will have to lure him out

How old is the mouse?
Have you updated the drivers for the mouse?
Do you have an optical mouse?
Is it on a mousepad?
Is the mouse wired or wireless?
If wireless, are there other wireless devices (keyboards, headphones, telephones...)?
If wireless (2) have the batteries been replaced lately?
What model mouse?
I ask this last one, because Dell had some bad mice for a while, My in-laws had this model, and it was trouble the entire time they used it (something like model D-11)..

As for Jumpy mice, I have found that optical mice like their little feet on the ground, and most have responded well to using them directly on a desk versus a mousepad. I wonder about interference with the left clicking (if wireless), or just a worn out mouse (if older).

Do you have a substitute mouse? If yes, how does it respond?

My thoughts, If it's new, try to see if there are newer drivers. Try to check about interference if it's wireless. And If it's older, see if you have a replacement. The mouse is overall a simple device. Try using no mousepad (if one was used) to see if that helps with the jumpiness of the mouse.

It's an old ps/2 wired ball mouse. I don't know the model. It is on a mousepad. I don't think it has anything to do with the mouse because it's moving and right-clicking and doing stuff even when I"m not even touching it. When I get back from school, I'll run a test, and while I run a scan, I'll try and get it to happen. I can't run a scan while it's happening because it's too hard to control. I'll get back to you guys this afternoon.

Consider disconnecting the PC from any sort of internet access or other network while it's happening, and see if it continues to move on it's own.

It still continues to move on its own after un-plugging the cable, which leads me to believe it's malware.

Ok you do have some issues there we will need to work on , but first to lure the virus out as it is now a known virus . rename hjt to jeremy.exe instead of hjt.exe so that the virus wont hide form it . and post another log
