Late last night, I got infected by it. I've been searching numerous hours on how to get rid it. Spyware Doctor can delete it (I think), Norton partially deletes it. I downloaded Avast!, and it still was on my system. Now, I cant access firewalls. Can anyone tell me how, and what software I can get to delete it off my PC?

When you installed Avast, did you remove Norton first, and did you do a boot time scan?

But, uninstall Norton before I scan it with Avast?

Yes, it would've been best to completely remove Norton before installing any other AV product. This file will get rid of it completely:

Ahh. Anything with Symantec doesnt' open at all for some reason..

I've downloaded and renamed the file for you - it is attached to this post. Just download and run it, following the instructions to remove Norton.

I did it. Now run Avast?

Yes, install Avast and when prompted if you wish to perform a boottime scan select "Yes". Then reboot and let the scan do it's work.

Ahh. How do I do that again? I remember it did that when I installed it last night.. but, how do it again?

You'd run the installer that you downloaded.

Hmm.. I think thats gone. What other programs you advise tha can get rid of the extra things, like adware.avertising, adware.agent, zangosearchassistant, rogue.advertising etc? Thanks for all your help, Ash. =]

For antispyware [not something I use since switching to Linux] I recommend you use AVG Antispyware, which you can get from here:

also to ensure that all malware is gone from your system please do the following

Download and Run HijackThis
Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.

• Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
• Click on Install.
• It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
• Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
• Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.

Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
