| Hi there Kyle, Firstly, welcome to CompuForums. I hope that you can visit our forum often in the future and post - rather than just receiving our help and advice, and then never visiting again. We provide our help for free, and all we ask in return is that you participate in our forum and refer your friends, or consider a premium membership. Not helping the community in some way after we have helped you is like stealing. Yes, I suggest that you run Avast rather than Norton as well. Avast is free and will pick up far more viruses than Norton.

| Unfortunately, Symantic Corporation (the parent of Norton) has fallen a bit behind the times. Norton is no longer Top Dog in the Anti-Virus world. I, also, would like to recommend the following: AVG Anti-Virus AVG Anti-Spyware and SpyBot SD Anti-Spyware (layer these 2 apps) COMODO Firewall Good luck, and enjoy. |

| The corporate version will still have all of the flaws of a "normal" version [ there is little difference between the two ]

| As Ashley said .. but a bit more .. the only difference in Home, Business, Corporate Editions is Licensing. The corporate may offer Network support, where the home doesn't, but it still is Norton. The licensing will make no difference in its performance. Norton is heavy on processes and is a resource hog. Save your license info from Norton. Uninstall it. Run CCleaner to finalize it's removal. Then try one of the others mentioned here in this thread. No one here is giving you bad advice, we are only giving you advice from an expert's point of view, and experience. That's what we're here for. If you don't like the performance of one of the others, remove it and re-install Norton. |

| You may also want to run the Norton Removal Tool before CCleaner - this is released by Symantec themselves and will remove all Norton-related products from your computer [and require only one reboot]: Download and run the Norton Removal Tool Be sure to download and save some other anti virus software [I prefer Avast, alougth you could also use AVG]. Do not connect to the internet until it is installed [if on broadband, unplug your modem]

| Not sure if you've found it yet, but here's the main Avast Home Edition download page: Free antivirus - avast! 4 Home Edition Download There is also a link there for you to register. Registration is completely free, and although they ask for your email address to send you the key, I haven't had any spam from them.
