Default Worst Virus Infection, ever?

Just wanted to see what some of the members here have had as their worst virus infection, ever.

On mine, the worst was only 4 virus', however, in my line of business I've seen some staggering counts.

The worst virus infection I've ever encountered was in 2005 on a Gateway tower with Wndows ME, no anti-virus or anti-spyware installed. It was being used in a business environment ON A NETWORK -- it had 7,850 virus'. Yes, I was able to remove every single virus without having to reinstall Windows.

Some of the tools I used to remove many of the virus' were:
AVG Anti-Virus
SpyBot SD
AntiVir 6.0
CA Anti-Virus (free edition)

My brother's computer running no anti-spyware for years, was infected with 3,000+ pieces of spyware. He now has anti-spyware. It was some time trying to get off all that spyware. BP, how can you not care about malware. It significantly reduces your computer's performance. Infected with 29 pieces of malware, I'm surprised it isn't slowed to a crawl.

Mod on trial,
Jeremy

I can't really remember, but I think that once I downloaded a slightly... shall we say, dodgy, file and picked up a nasty trojan. However back in the early days of Spyware, I installed Bonzi Buddy and some kind of Gator crapware. The computers I've fixed that have had viruses, on the other hand... I think had more viruses than programs and documents!

Here's one that I found: Download VundoFix 6.5.0 - VundoFix is a removal tool developed to remove Virtumonde infections - Softpedia . Hope it works.

i had once 200 virus', but that was before i cared (before i knew what they do), i now keep my computer virus protected!, i now have: zonealarm, AVG, ad-aware, malware sweeper, PC tools, and spybot - search and destroy. pretty well protected. Actually, i know the malware slows your computer performance, but what does spyware do?

I once had a worm SOO big it came out from the computer and ate my dog.. Well not really, but I had to instal windows as the worm or whatever it was startted deleting so *quite* important files from the Windows folder. Irony of the situation? I'm quite sure I got it from a pirated music CD. After that, I haven't touched anything even slightly looking like illegimate. No viri in years.

I downloaded a song of of a P2P network (back in my early days of computing, Windows 98 era) and it has 6 viruses if I remember right. I don't even think I knew what Virus Protection was. Anyway, we took it to the computer shop and they removed them for $25 a piece, and I had to pay for them. That one song cost me $150, so from then on everything music related I purchased legally. lol.

I scanned my pc about 5 days ago with AVG antispyware , and i ran Hijack this and i cleaned out about 2,500 viruses and it had only been 3-4 months since a scan . go figure
but when your FF cache gets to be about 4gb a month , you must be doing alot of browsing
