Default Avast!

I just installed avast! Home edition. I'm currently awaiting a product key to be emailed to me. The problem is, I can't check my email. I have Eudora, and whenever I try to check my email, it gives me two error messages: "Error reading from the network Cause: Connection closed by a foreign host. (0)", and the other is "POP server(goose@pop-server.san.rr.com) command error: ERR concurrent connection limit in avast exceeded(pass:20, processes:emproxy.exe[19], Eudora.exe[1]), there is a collision with another program." Can anybody tell me what the problem is, and how to fix it. TIA

I found out that avast was conflicting with mcafee. I decided to unistall avast! I can just use avast! on my next computer.

Often time two anti-virus softwares are not compatible. McAfee is a big problem with htis.
