| Are you running any antivirus, antispyware and/or firewall? If so, what products? How long have you been having these issues? Have you tried System Restore?

| Like Ash said try System Restore that might fix your problem. Or get a firewall like Zonealarm.

| I never did like Norton Security in my opinion it is crap. I use Comodo Firewall now. I used to use Zonealarm BUT Avast Antvirus won't work with it so I switched to Comodo Firewall which works great with Avast Antivirus. I suggest getting rid if Norton Security and get Avast Antivirus plus Comodo Firewall. You can go here to get Comodo Firewall. SSL Certificate Free Firewall Anti Virus Internet Attacks Online Banking File Backup Network Security Solutions Avast Antivirus Free antivirus - avast! 4 Home Edition

| Norton Internet Security includes a firewall. As Ultra Man said, it isn't a great security and there are better - free - alternatives. As part of Norton's aim to dominate your computer, it automatically turns off the Windows firewall, and this would be the cause of your problem.

| Correct. Firewall apps usually set to disable Windows native firewall. The two should not be ran together. For example, if a user has installed Comodo Firewall, then Windows Firewall should be disabled. If Comodo Firewall is removed, then Windows Firewall should be re-enabled. Two firewalls should NOT be running at the same time (that would be like having two police officers at the same intersection, with each officer giving different directions to the same driver). |
