Richie Computers is on a distinguished road
Default I think i have a virus?

Ok i was downloading this game onto my computer when my virus alert went on so i cancelled the download and started running norton antivirus 2003 and ad-aware. They just went through the comp[lete check and thy didn't find nything except for ad-aware that program found 53 threats. Could this be a virus becuase I have A 27 inch NEC multisync XM29 PLUS monitr and everynow now and then the sides of the screnn start frizzling up and make a weird pattern? What could be the problem I hope its not a virus but it probally isn;t becuase norton didn't detect it, is there any other programs that i could try to find my problem?

thanks

We do not suggest Norton - it generates fake viruses to make you buy the product and hogs your system resources. You should try Avast! Home Edition:
Free antivirus - avast! 4 Home Edition

The monitor issues seem to be an improper setting on your monitor. Try resetting it to defaults or pressing the "Auto" button [if any]. Check the user manual of the monitor for details on resetting it to defaults.

I recommend not using norton as it has a very poor detection rate. I recommend uninstalling it and trying AVGfree from AVG Free Advisor: Free anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware tools.

Norton can be very difficult to uninstall please let me know what version you have so we can assist you.

You can also try an online scan free which also removes anything found at Trend Micro - Free online virus Scan

Well AVG in my opinion is crap along with Trend Micro. I agree with Ash, Avast! Home Edition is the best antivirus program out there.

Never, ever trust computer magazines - they're usually paid off by software companies to recommend one product and put down their competitor.
