Default dual booting??

ok am wanting to dual boot on my laptop am currantly running xp and would like to allso run vista.

first problem i have no idea how to dual boot ??
and second is more of a question would i be able to have the vista operating system on my external harddrive as its not going to get used that much dont want it taking up space on my laptop.

Why do you want to do this? I never did see the point of dual booting two versions of Windows. Anyway here is a link that should help.

so that am able to run Halo2 on Vista..
And all my friends that have had vista say its not as good as XP so thats why am dual booting but thanks for the help

Oh ok. The only drawback for vista is its a resource hog however if you are playing halo with anytype of quality I personally would just stick with Vista.

Make sure you download either EasyBCD 1.7.2 or OSL2000, and install AFTER you install both operating systems and put it on your main Operating system.

I may be wrong, but I think Vista is the only Windows Operating System that has the ability to run DirectX10 graphics

Not worth the effort to me. It states on the page that you have to be very careful (need to know what you are doing) and it states there are a number of known issues and they work to some extent. Who needs that?

VirtualBox
A virtual machine. Try it, if you have the ISO. If you don't, look for other virtual machines (They may not be free)
