Have a look at these. They are some alternative OSes. I shall be trying each of these out at some point so will let you know what they are like. But the links are there if you want to try them using Virtual Box downloadable from Here

React OS (windows clone)

I had a go at downloading ReactOS.
I downloaded the CD version.. but it would always crash when loading up :/

Is it any good?

Hi Jammy Dodger lol!

In my opinion it is okay, but nothing to really get excited about. To be honest none of the above operating systems are particually good, but I thought it would be good to bring them to people's attention and see what they think of them.

If you wanting an OS to try out then give Solaris or Open Solaris a run. You will like it im sure Jam.

haha, yeahh.. I've been really busy latley, so I haen't been online that much.

And a few people have recommended that OS to me. I think I'm going to have to try it out some time. Might gie it a try out over the weekend.
