What was the worst OS you have ever used and why?

Personally, I've only used Windows 95, 98 and XP, which I thought were all pretty good (they seemed stable anyways). The Windows 95 machine ran at my parent's house for 7 years (1996-2003). The 98 machine was 1998-2004 (maybe 2005). Windows XP was 2003-present. They may not be perfect, but they turned on and off when they where supposed too.

My brother got to tackle with Windows ME, he couldn't even say that much about his system. When a computer in perfect working order only turns on most of the time...something's terrible wrong with that OS.

ya know, only used win 95 xp, and ubuntu. well also kubuntu. prolly kubuntu cause it had a bunch of goofy shit, and i still dont know how to use linux

then 95, then ubuntu and then xp

I don't think that the problems you've had with Linux are the fault with Linux.

well this is an easy one. Windows Vista.
I have used 95, 98, ME, XP, Vista, Ubuntu, Red hat, Debian and Fedora and from the lot of those Vista is by far the worst. So many compatibility issues, its a massive memory hog and the eye candy isn't very sweet. And everything that IS good about it is stolen off another operating system

hmm, Windows ME is defitnaly by far,the worst Os ever made.
Why? well, anyone who has ever used it will know why.

Next in line is Vista.

I've used quite a few Os's now.. DOS, 3.11, 95, 98, 2000, Me, XP, Vista, Suse, Ubuntu, Kbuntu, Knoppix.

Dos i only used now and then at my old school, just to mess around on. And Knoppix only for a month or so, i didn't like that one much neither, but I think that was because I couldn't really use Linux when i started using that.

I didnt mean i underlined it in my original post, i was merely trying to put emphasis on the I in my original post. alleviating all blame from kubuntu. and putting on myself. ash just decided to be snide about it. i don't see the reason why, but i suppose if i question the forums owner further i might get banned. i know how this type of thing works. don't call out upper echelon members, and you can continue to post. personally i think contributing to the people who wish to learn is most important. I suppose thats why i joined this forum, thats what i thought it was all about. most members oblige that thought too, but some are more interested in making people sound like fools.
