Default So what's so hard about reloading XP?

I have very little disk space so I got an XP system disk from the place where I bought the laptop and the serial number too, but the owner says I'll be back and he'll charge me $30. to do what I can't. So why can't I reload XP myself as he says laughingly? What simple thing am I going to miss as this guy says with a smirk, is there a little $30. secret he's not giving up?

Did you ask him to reload XP using the disk you brought?

to put it simply, that guy was a jerk, i've loaded XP onto my computer since the age of 9. Now it depends on HOW you want to install it, if you want a clean install, simply put the cd in, reboot from cd, wait for everything to load up, follow the on screen instructions It will then install, continue to follow the on screen instructions until finished.

If that didn't answer your questions just reply and i will give you a better response written up in step-by-step form.

Yeah, reloading XP is not a big deal at all. Almost any computer novice can follow the on-screen instructions. And, you friend makes so sense trying to charge you so you can help him.

Sound like the guy wanted to try and make some money for himself.
