Default Tri-booting?

I have a WD 250g hard drive that I have partitioned into three sections. On the first, I have XP with 97g, then a blank one for media with 24g, then the last one i have Vista on with 110g. Now, I don't have much media, so I was wanting to put Ubuntu onto the second partitions. First off, has anyone heard of doing something like this with 3 OS running? If I do this, will I have to somehow edit the booting menu? What do you think is the worst thing that could happen?

If you install Ubuntu, it will add it's own bootloader, and most likely, add both Vista and XP to the list. And yeah, you can run 3+ os fine. I got 2 on my laptop, and might install Ubuntu, if I can be ****ed to get rid of some of my Star Trek episodes.

Wonder if anyone ever booted XP, Vista, Ubuntu, Fedora, Tiger, and Leopard on the same PC.

yea, download OSL2000 Dual Booter. Copy and paste it and type it in google or downloads.com and then download it onto your PC and then use it. Can boot as many as up to 100 partitions. Use it...i do all the time, i have 4 partitions on my 250GB HDD and it works great with OSL

im not sure how user freindly what Jam did or what program you were using are, but if you really didnt have the time, or just dont want to go through all that class A junk, then OSL2000 would be your maine priority. Its not free though, so you could do one of the following, get the key from someone you know, look online for one, or just buy it! its like 10$

Well, I have multi-boot set up on my PC... Each hard drive is independantly bootable. ( I boot Windows 32 bit, Windows 64 bit, Linux 32 bit and Linux 64 bit.

I just use the BIOS selection to select the Hard drive.

Now, I could use a boot loader (Lilo, Grub...) and YES they do multiple hard drives and partitions.
Plus HDA, HDB, HDC are IDE drives SDA, SDB, are SATA drives in linux. So there are more options and the number is the partition number.

Oh yes, I can boot live cd's too to add to the confusion of multiboot
