I wonder if anyone can help I have my own original copy of Windows XP and I need to reinstall it on my computer. Unfortunately I have lost the Key Code for the CD is tehre anything that can be done.

Do you have the copy that you lost the key for running on a PC already?

Sounds like you have a problem then...do you have any computer with XP on it?

Hi Thanks for reply yes I do and I have now found another copy of XP with a code.

You should be able to find the key for the copy of XP that you have on the original packaging, and unless it's a pirate copy or recovery CD, Microsoft will probably give you a new key.

Since you're running Windows XP and you need to RE-INSTALL it, use Magic Jellybean to extract the key.
