| I'm currently using Vista 64-bit. Is there a way to make changes to the system so it will accept 32-bit anti-virus programs or any other 32-bit software for that matter or do I need to purchase a whole other 32-bit system such as XP 32-bit? Thanks in advance. |

| Not really - you can either get native programs for it, or change your OS. For Antivirus, Avast will run fine. If you don't want to purchase a new copy of Windows to run 32bit apps, then consider switching to a version of Linux. Where did you get your copy of Vista from? If you purchased it, you may have received a 32bit and 64bit disk. If it came with the computer, try contacting your manufacturer to see if they will provide you with a 32bit disk.

| I'm not sure if there will be, but it's worth a try If not, try contacting MS and explaining the situation. They may let you have a 32bit disk or swap it, especially if you hint at switching to Linux
