| i have tried installing win xp pro and win 2000,(seperate installs) onto a compaq armada 100s the install goes fine in both cases and operates fine .......until i reboot ,has a bios message,stating time error,and boots ok from there,but system tray clock shows date 1999,and different times,does this every boot.holds date and time when using Me or 98se Any ideas,would much be appreciated........... | This could be down to one of many problems, but it would be useful to know what you have already tried to rectify the problem. Have you tried clearing the BIOS [using the CMOS clear jumper or taking the battery out, not just from the BIOS menu], and/or looking in the BIOS menu for some kind of OS option?

| thanks for the reply,yes have had the battery out,as for cmos clear jumpers,that is new to me, so have googled (there is heaps to read and learn)and now in the process of finding pins.so fingers crossed,thanks again |
