I'm not sure if you can order the CDs with a terminal - based installer - the live CDs now come with a GUI installer however - just double click the "Install" icon on the LiveCD desktop.

Err, umm. If you understood what you just said you will realise that it doesn't make sense.

So you arn't going to use Ubuntu, MacOSX becuase they are... err... like(?)... linux?

(oh, and Ubuntu is a distro of Linux basically, so saying based like really does not make any sense at all.)

I'm downloading it right now. But I was wondering, is it a normal install, or do you have to use command prompts?

IIRC. You could chose wether it would be command prompt or more 'winblows' style.
Im thinking of going back to Ubuntu myself now that they've released a new version from the one i had. Not much was all too compatible with what i had on my laptop at the time.
It's easy to install and understand so i have to say, Go for it!!

Yep, I got the files burned, but I have to get a program to read iso's. Oh well, it shouldn't take very long to get one. Does anybody have one that they would like to recommend?

Most burning apps *should* burn ISOs. If not, google for iso burner and you should find one

Put it in and boot from CD...

Or is it the installer? I have Linux Ubuntu saved to my USB, so I just stick that in and boot.

If you just have the Linx files, boot from CD, if....ohh for crying out loud, I've forgotten what I as going to say.

Someone slap me...

Instead of listening to me there are instructions on CompuForums somewhere to Dual Boot. Is that what you want to do?

Ya, I'm installing it, but it never seems to get past 41%. arg. I'll leave it sit for a few hours and see what happens. I'll post when it works.

Mod on trial,
Jeremy
