| After installing the wireless drivers,does it say that they are installed correctly in your device manager? And were these the drivers that you installed? : HP Pavilion dv1000 drivers for Windows XP Jam

| He says he got it from the Realtek site, so you got it here right? Check in your device manager and see if it is under unknown or where it should be and wether or not it says its functional. If all SEEMS ok, then try uninstalling it and trying the link Jam provided. If not, provide us with a little more detail, expanding upon "it doesnt work" and then maybe one of us can identify the problem |

| Thank you JAM for helping me. Instead of going for the HP driver, i whent for the Realtek driver since this laptop has a Realtek card. Thanks again for your help. Thank you lee.holt for also chiming in with help.
