| I have a D-Link WBR-2310 and a Toshiba Laptop running Windows Vista. Sometimes while I'm surfing the web the wireless internet just stops and I get local only and can't open any web pages. The only personal solution I have to this is to go to my router and take power cord out, wait 30 seconds, and then put it back in. But that grows to be a major hassle to me. Going up the stairs and down once a day just to get the internet going annoys the heck out of me. So if anyone has any insight in this problem please respond back. Thank You. |

| Have a look on your modem, does it have an activity light? If so, have a look if that activity light stop on or off (Not flashing anymore) when the connection goes down |

| A few ideas, some already stated. yes update your firmware, follow the directions closely. next, check to see if there is a setting that states something similar to: Turn on UPnP settings. read any help about that in your router. Mine is on by default, and i get some messages every once in a while regarding "your network is now connected to......" Also, make sure you're not turning off the wireless card in the laptop. the switch is typically on the front of the laptop, probably to the left of the audio controls (at least on my Toshiba). If you turn off the wireless card, you won't connect to anything. Also, you may be doing that inadvertently, turning it off and on again.

| If after following the above advice and you still have the problem try this: First reset it by pressing the rest button for at least 30 seconds. Then you'll need to reconfigure it to the way it was previously. If the problem persists you may need a new router. After a year many routers will begin to have problems and need replace |

| ive had a similar problem myself once before try this... 1. reboot your computer 2. if the above doesnt work restart your wirless router 3. if that doesnt fix the problem go to the toshiba website, look up your System drivers and re-install the wirless driver.
