are all 802.11n routers backwards compatable? meaning can they all do a/b/g?

They should do b/g, certainly g, probably not A unless stated.

yes, they have that built into the N standard, just as it was in the B and G standards.

I had a G device on my N-optimized network, with NO PROBLEMS at all.

Now, not all features are available to a network running mixed protocol mode. In that, I can set my network for maximum bandwidth and distance, but it will not be as smooth or reliable for A/B/G devices. I have a slightly slower setting, which enhances the a/b/g devices.

However, I only use Draft-N, so it does not bother me.
