Default faster wireless

hi guys,i have a belkin router/modem and i am running at 54 mbps on my laptop and i was wondering if it is possible to get it to run any faster ?

To be blunt, no. Not without replacing the router and all of the network cards in your computers, or running Ethernet cables between them.
Note that increasing the 54mb speed will not increase the speed of your actual internet connection.

No problem. If you want faster file transfers, consider getting a Pre-N router - the theoretical rate is up to 108mbps.
