at my school we have hundreds of computers networked with a domain...

i bring my laptop to school and when i plug it into the wall for the internet it will say that its connected, but it wont go online whereas the computers on the domain will

the teacher told me that you have to have the ip address for the school district or something...how do i get it? they wont tell me it

im not sure wat kind of ip address it is though

can anyone help me??? a response would be greatly appreciated
