Hello, I have a belkin wireless g router. I needed to setup myself a static ip because of some virtual servers i am running. I set it up, but when I tried logging back into my router, it said that my old dhcp ip was the admin and I cant log in. what should I do

Do you want a static IP for the computer/virtual machine on your internal network or a static external IP?

YEah i Figured it out. I needed to set just a plain and simple static ip. I thought u had to do it through the router not the computer. But little did I know. hey one more question I run a toshiba with vista @ 1.77 ghz dou core 1 gig ram direct x 10 and I cant play counter strike source (very well). I know source supports vista. But my computer doesnt function properly. What are my options. Its a laptop, so I cant change my video card unfortunately, but it also messes with the sound too. I have tried everything. Any suggestions?

Just set the static IP from the computer, it overrides the router's DHCP on the same IP range and subnet ;-).
