| I have 3 pc's in my house. 2 desktops and 1 laptop. A custom made pc is wired to a Belkin G wireless router and the laptop and E-Machine are wireless. About a month agao I could see all 3 pc's from each other and transfer files w/o a problem btwn all 3. Like I said last month this stopped. The Laptop and the e-machine can see all 3 pc's but can only transfer files btwn each other. On the custom made pc I can't see either the laptop or e-machine. I have tried everything I know. I am using McAfee Security Center on the custon pc. I tried turning off the firewall and still the same results. I have the router on DHCP and tried going static IP's as well. Same result. If anybody can think of something I would appreciate it. |

| This could well be due to the workgroups of these computers getting changed somehow - are they all on Windows XP?

| I would suggest totally removing Maca£ee from the computer, rebooting all the computers and the router, and seeing if this makes any difference.

| I was recently having a similar issue, but I was able to gain access to my other comp by changing the firewall settings on each computer. I have a wireless laptop with vista and a desktop with xp wired to the router. I had to change the firewall settings on both comps to get them to see each other. I know you said you changed firewall settings, but did you make sure for each comp? Just trying to help. This was my first network experience, so I don't know much |
